Bandwidth.com today announced a new name for its wholesale division, which integrates dash Carrier Services, the wholesale 911 provider that Bandwidth.com acquired in February (CP: Bandwidth.com acquires dash Carrier Services). The wholesale division, which will now be known as inetwork, has seen strong growth since the acquisition, Bandwidth.com said.
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- Alabama's 911 centers could be able to receive text messages and cell phone pictures and videos in the next 18 months, according to the president of the Alabama chapter of the National Emergency Number Association. The organization is negotiating a contract with the Cary, N.C.-based Bandwidth.com to upgrade the state's 911 service, said Roger Wilson, director of Walker County 911 and president of the state chapter of NENA.
